We understand that not everyone is an expert Marketer and we also recognize the time commitment that restaurant ownership requires. That is why our Marketing Team is here to support our Franchisees each and every step of the way.
We are continuously focused on driving brand awareness Nationally through various partnerships like the Boys & Girls Clubs of America and WWE in addition to our strong digital presence. Wayback was one of the first concepts to embrace online ordering technology years ago and has since added a mobile ordering and loyalty app for our guests to order on the go. Through the app we can re-market LTO’s, specials and double points days to our guests. We’re also dedicated to creating a lasting relationship with each community in which we enter. We assist our Franchisees in getting to know their Guests and encourage community involvement. We do this by providing a dedicated Local Restaurant Marketing contact in order to help brainstorm, plan and execute local marketing strategies to ensure a successful future with the Wayback brand.
Every Wayback Burgers franchisee specifically partners with local charities and organizations in its surrounding community to help raise money for a cause and/or organization. Wayback Burgers also has a national marketing & fundraising partnership agreement with the Boys & Girls Clubs of America. Every franchisee hosts multiple in-restaurant fundraisers and donations each month. We take the responsibilities seriously that come with being a leader. We help our customers build better communities and leverage our size, scope and resources to help make the communities a better place.
In addition to our efforts on a national level with The Boys & Girls Clubs, we are involved with fundraising with local chapters of the Boys & Girls Clubs as well as Toys for Tots, Salvation Army, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and YMCA’s.
While we are very proud of the top-quality products that we serve at every Wayback Burgers restaurant we continually look for ways to improve our products, menu and procedures. Always looking at what items and flavor profiles are trending in the industry our corporate R & D Team is on top of craveable items to add to our menu lineup either as a Limited Time Offer (LTO) or as a possible replacement for a current item. While we are called Wayback Burgers our thinking years ago was that we wanted to offer to the guest a somewhat diverse menu. Certainly, our mainstay is an exceptional burger, but we offer fantastic chicken sandwiches & tenders, hot dogs, a veggie burger, salads, great side items and of course our hand-dipped thick milkshakes. We did this so when a guest is craving something other than a burger, they can still choose Wayback and know they can get a mouth watering Buffalo Chicken Sandwich or other items besides the Wayback Classic!
Wayback Burgers has been a leader in the industry in the menu innovation and menu variety categories. Trends in ingredients, flavor profiles, tastes, and culinary creativity are driving this innovation into our menu development to capitalize on people’s love of comfort food. We are not afraid to innovate since, without innovation, a brand can get lost or become stale to Guests.
One of the many reasons you decide to join a franchise system is the support you receive from the franchisor. At Wayback, right from the time you are awarded a franchise agreement we begin the support. From real estate to the construction of your restaurant, our team will walk you through the process of finding the right location to be successful and build it on time and within budget. Your in-restaurant and Wayback University training is designed to set you, our franchisee, on the path to be a world-class operator. Our training team will be on-site to assist you in the opening of your Wayback Burgers restaurant to help you train your crew and open your restaurant smoothly.
New Franchisee training starts with ten days of In-Restaurant Training at one of our Certified Training Restaurants followed by five days of Wayback University at our franchisee support center. Upon opening, Franchisees and their Team Members receive an additional ten days of on-site training to prepare for opening to the public. Once training is complete, our Franchisees transition to our Regional Directors of Operations who provide ongoing support and coaching for restaurant operations, new implementations, and marketing initiatives while ensuring compliance with the Wayback Brand.
Our ongoing franchisee support systems have been built over the years and continue to evolve with technology. There are monthly owners’ calls with all franchisees and senior staff at the franchisee support center, monthly newsletters for you and your crew, webinars when new products or procedures are rolled out, quarterly on-site visits by our operations department to conduct a Quality Assurance Review with the franchisee. The POS system and the back-office system that goes along with it has scheduling tools, inventory management, training modules for your crew, historical sales data, and sales trends for your location. In addition, each year we hold regional Business Information Meetings or a national meeting for franchisees and managers to attend.
Started as a hamburger stand in Delaware in 1991 and began franchising in 2009, the Wayback Burgers franchise system has evolved into a nationwide and international fast casual burger concept with over 160 location operating in over 30 states in the United States and developing in 38 countries around the globe. Our franchisees have proven whether they are in a big city or a small town that the Wayback Burgers franchise model is a success. As we continue to grow, we look for new avenues for revenue streams for our franchisees in delivery and catering in addition to the guests that dine in or take out at our restaurants. In 2019 we began rolling out our new design restaurants which is an updated modern take on our beginnings as a hamburger “joint”.
