New Wayback Burgers location coming to Connecticut

Wayback Burgers, a Connecticut-based burger chain, will bring a new store to Watertown in early 2022, according to a news release.

The new location at 1142 Main St. will be operated by local franchisee Jia Zhou Lin, and will bring 30 new jobs to the community, according to the release.

“I’ve been a cook for over 20 years and chose to open another Wayback Burgers restaurant because of its fresh and high-quality menu items. The Watertown area is a great fit for the brand, and I look forward to continuing to bring excellent service and exceptional meals to our guests,” Lin said in the same release.

This is the latest in a series of chain restaurants that have recently announced locations opening in Connecticut, including a new Jimmy John’s in Norwalk and a Shake Shack in Danbury.

This new location will include a “modernized kitchen” design, according to the news release, that will allow guests to view the kitchen throw glass windows and a pass-through.

This Watertown restaurant will join the 16 locations already open in Connecticut. New locations are also listed to be arriving in Norwalk and Danbury, according to Wayback’s website.
